How to Kiss Somebody Who Is a Different Height

You make a cute couple, but there must be at least a foot between you when you are standing. Don't fret. There's a way to pull this off.

Steps:

1. Meet in the middle.

* For the shorter person: lean back a bit and reach up. Stand on your tiptoes if it's comfortable.

* For the taller person: bend forward. Spread your feet apart a bit, too. This gives the shorter person a place to stand while lowering your overall height.

2. Get a boost. Take advantage of curbs, steps, stools, and even chairs to correct for the height difference.

3. Have a seat. If your heights are very different, try kissing while the taller person is seated and the shorter person is standing up. Even if your heights are still a bit different, it'll be a chance for the other partner to be taller, instead.

4. Get a lift. If the taller partner is strong enough and the shorter partner light enough, lift the shorter person off the ground, entirely.

5. Work in a hug. Having a much taller person bend at the waist can take up the difference in kissing height nicely, but it can mess up the hug, big-time.

* If you mean this to be a polite kiss and hug, the shoulders-only sort, go ahead and bend.

* If, however, you would prefer more intimate contact, the taller person should not bend at the waist. Instead, have both partners stand straight and have the taller partner bend at the neck and upper back.
* When not kissing, the shorter partner in a hug may turn his or her head to the side and rest it on the taller partner's chest or shoulders.

6. Kiss other, more accessible spots. If it's appropriate to do so, kiss your partner on the forehead, neck, chest, arms, shoulders, hands, or belly. Not all good kisses land on the lips or cheeks!

Be bold! Most boys like it very much if his partner takes the active role in kissing. You should make the first few moves, but make sure he is comfortable with them and with you. Just make sure you're ready for this. Remember to give a chance to the guy. After the guy kisses, you can curl your arms around his neck for deep emotions. Give him the chance of first passionate kiss. Convey your emotions by your lips but don't move too fast or it will end up to be a bad memory like your forcing him to kiss you. Always go slow.Never go fast with a kiss. Your first kiss should always be a happy memory for you to look back at.

Steps:

1. Chat the boy up. Establish a sense of trust between the two of you, perhaps by telling him a secret about you that no one else knows [just make sure it isn't a secret that may turn him off or make him feel awkward or disgusted by you], or just by talking nicely to him.

2. Flirt. Smile a lot, touch your hair, do whatever you think will let him know that you're interested and are happy around him. Hopefully, it will make him more comfortable and want to be around you more often.

* Smell great, wear some cologne or perfume but not too much.

* Don't wear lipstick or sticky lip gloss that will make him worry that he will get it all over his face. * Listerine pocket mist and strips are great ways to zap the bad breath fast. Drink water too.

* If you think you are going to kiss, try to offer the guy a mint just in case his breath smells or something. If he says no and you think his breath smells then put two in your mouth and while kissing, stick one in his mouth. That way you won't have breath issues.

* Don't smoke cigarettes, as some men don't like that, and try to avoid alcoholic drinks. Brush your teeth regularly for the best effect, and just to be safe, always carry a breath freshener (mints, etc. but don't use chewing gum - see below).

* Don't make a mess out of it. Not the first kiss. It may be unpleasant for some people.

* Make yourself available, but don't attack him. Let him know that you're ready, but allow him to go in for the kill.

How to Kiss a Girl

The main problem that guys face when trying to kiss a girl is knowing if they're ready. Get the timing wrong and things will turn awkward. Get it right, and well... you'll know. Here's how you can increase your odds.

Steps:

1. Make her comfortable with comedy - humor is statistically the most attractive quality women look for.

2. Be confident - confidence is statistically the second most attractive quality women look for. If you don't act confident, then what other problems do you have with yourself? Prepare beforehand and believe in yourself.

3. Set a romantic mood. For example, it's probably not a good time to kiss that girl when you're watching a movie where someone is being killed. Use a nice, romantic spot. Who doesn't like a sunset, an empty grassy meadow under the stars, a deck on a lake at night, or sunsets on the beach, a paddle boat at a friends pond at night, a private camp fire...

4. Hold her hands. If you hold her hand, she should get the hint that you like her. Caution though...her hands may be sweaty!

5. Tell her that she has something in her hair, and reach out to take it out. If she's ready to kiss, she will like it. But if she doesn't seem to like it, laugh and resume what you were doing.

* Some girls don't want to "make out" for the first kiss, but some do. Try a quick peck on the lips, then move in for more, if she pulls away, DO NOT try to kiss her more. If you forget this tip, don't become frustrated with her reaction. Simply back away and apologize like you mean it.

* Kissing during an on screen kiss during a movie can sometimes be a cheesy idea. Try doing it when you feel most in love.

* It is probably best done in a private place, so that you two feel more comfortable.

* Offering to do it in a bed may make people uncomfortable, and they may feel pressured.

* You can put on some music to set the mood.

* You could try candles, but they can be a dangerous if you forget about them.

* Discussing what you and your partner like and dislike helps a lot when heading towards kissing.

The Platonic Peck {Kiss lightly}

1. Turn your head before you lean in. If you want to kiss someone on the cheek, and that someone is at risk of misinterpreting your intentions, make it clear that you're not going for the mouth by turning your head off to the side before you lean in.

2. Pucker your lips more tightly than you would for a romantic kiss. To know if you're puckering your lips correctly, kiss in the air. How loud is the kissing noise? It should be a clearly audible "pop" of your lips as you part them while sucking air in. A romantic kiss will barely make this noise because your lips are much more relaxed.

3. Keep it brief. The amount of time your lips spend on the other person's cheek or lips should be limited to whatever it takes to make that kissing noise described in the previous step - nothing more. The French Kiss

1. As you are locking and re-locking lips, brush your tongue against your partner's lips ever so slightly. This should make it clear that you want to French kiss. If your partner's tongue does not respond in like fashion or if they pull away, you will have to save the French kiss for another time when you are both ready.

2. Slowly open your mouth a little bit more and gently push your tongue a little farther into their mouth until the tip of your tongue meets the tip of theirs. Let your tongues brush against each other briefly and gently and then pull it away, back into your own mouth.

3. Close your mouth a little (not all the way) and open it again to start another kiss. This time you can push your tongue a little further into your partner's mouth, so that more of it brushes against theirs.

4. For a passionate kiss: Put your hand(s) on your partner's face, neck, or hair and hold them close as your tongues meet. Gently suck or nibble on their lips here and there. Breathe deeply. Kiss the person like you just can't get enough of them, and like you might never get to kiss them again.

5. Finish off a French kiss with a little lip locking (as described in the previous section) or continue kissing, in which case you'll want to read the tips in How to Make Out

A Gentle Lip Lock

1. As your lips make contact with theirs, pucker them slightly and close your eyes. If you "overpucker" your lips will become tense, which is better for the platonic peck (described below), not for romance.

2. Kiss your partner's upper or lower lip gently, then pull away slightly. Put about an inch or 3 cm between you and your partner's lips.

3. Open your eyes. Once your gaze meets theirs, smile a little and decide whether or not to go for another kiss. If things are going well, move on to the next step. Or if one or both of you think that's enough for today, pull away, smile, and shift your gaze elsewhere.

4. Kiss your partner's upper or lower lip again, but this time part your lips so that their lip goes between yours. Apply a little bit of pressure closing your lips as you pull away. You can practice on the length of your finger to get an idea for how much pressure to apply. You can also gently pinch one of your lips between your index finger and thumb to see how it feels to have someone kiss you in this way.

5. Switch to the other lip. If you were kissing their uppper lip, now go to their lower lip, and vice versa. Ideally, as you kiss someone's upper lip, they're kissing your lower lip, and vice versa, and you can go on like this for quite some time, alternating with closed lip kisses.

• Get your lips in proper kissing order. The most kissable lips are smooth and sweet, not dry, chapped and tense. The guidelines in How to Get Kissable Lips will help both men and women make their lips look more attractive and inviting.

Here are the basics:
o Exfoliate your lips with sugar to make them soft.
o Moisturize your lips to keep them soft.
o Relax your lips by parting them ever so slightly.

• Look inviting and approachable! You might not realize that you've giving off a "leave me alone" vibe, so read up on How to Look Approachable. Uncross those arms, keep your hands away from your face, make eye contact, and smile! Similarly, read his or her body language - is this person into you? Or do they seem uncomfortable?

• Break the "touch barrier." Touch the person lightly on the arm or shoulder when you're talking. Just make it a quick, innocent touch and don't make a big deal out of it. • Look at their lips. Make eye contact and then move your gaze briefly down to the person's lips. Then move your eyes back up to meet theirs and smile demurely. You don't have to be really obvious about it. Many people will take the hint, especially if they've read one of the many articles that lists this as a sign that a person wants to kiss or be kissed.

• Approach for the kiss. Depending on your starting position you may need only to turn your head, or you may need to lean in a bit. You may want to use your hands to gently urge your partner’s body or head into position—you just want to guide his or her movement a little, you don’t want to forcibly move any part of his or her body or hold your partner in an uncomfortable position—but in general you just want to position yourself correctly and let your partner meet you. As you near your partner’s lips, maintain eye contact.
